It's not yet official NFL Picks football season yet but it's never too early to understand some developments that could affect your profitable betting angles for this season of NFL Picks action. Although many experts continue to be wrong when it actually comes down to what really happens during the NFL Picks season it does create some interesting information and discussion. Much has been written about the impending demise of the Indianapolis Colts who have been just about a given when it comes to participating in the NFL Picks Playoffs. Just about all of the "experts" have stated that the Colts will flat out not make the playoffs this season. Well, before you go off to far in that NFL Picks thought process, let's take a look at what has actually happened to the Colts in the off season.

Article after article has written about the coaching staff changes, but has that really changed all that much? The Colts new head man, Jim Caldwell, has been with the Colts for eight seasons along with assistant head coach Clyde Christensen. So, in my opinion very little NFL Picks impact here.

Now, let's take a look at the much publicized changes in the offensive coaching staff. The Colts offensive line coach Pete Metzelaars has been with there for six years. In addition, head coach Caldwell hasn't totally eliminated the idea of Tom Moore returning should contract and pension issues be resolved. Heck, he could even come back as an NFL Picks consultant. So, do we really have a change there?

When teams go into turmoil it's mainly due to the transition of the coaching staffs. But here you have a very controled transition as there were no doubts Caldwell was both ready and the right man to replace Dungy. That fact is supported with Caldwell himself stated "Often the word change denotes abrupt alteration of direction. Transition is smoother. The things that have happened with us have been rather smooth."

Through all of this morass people seem to be forgetting that the Colts also have some NFL Picks player by the name of Peyton Manning. Peyton only led the Colts to six straight NFL Picks 12-win seasons. Plus, last season he started hurt after knee surgery but will be helathy for the start of this NFL Picks season.

So, when you boil it all down, are the Colts really all that much different? I am here to tell you that the NFL Picks season will have the Colts competing for a playoff spot. Don't be surprised to once again see them in the post season.
