What's even more amazing is that they're doing this while being on the field much more than normal defenses. The Raiders offense is 8th worst in time of possession. That means the Raiders are shutting down opponents at a pace superior to most of the rest of the league even though they're on the field about 1-2 minutes of playing time more each week.

This will put Oakland in position to "arrive" very quickly once they get a real quarterback and some semblance of an offense. For now, it's putting them in position to play a lot of Unders. Raiders games are 3-9 to the Under this season. It would be 2-10 to the Under but last week's game with Houston saw two non-offensive touchdowns and other cheap points from a combined seven turnovers in the game.

If you throw out non-offensive scores, the last eight Raiders games would have landed on 23, 35, 30, 30, 16, 19, 29, and 16. That's an average of about 25 points per game on the scoreboard.  Unders unquestionably have some value in Raiders games right now.
