Virginia Tech's catching a lot of heat for having lost a couple of games in a
row, but the Hokies bounced back with a dominating 36-6 win over Southern Miss
last weekend. Clemson is in contention for a BCS bowl after blowing out a
Georgia Tech team that had already beaten up the Hokies pretty good on their
home field. Clemson average result is a 42-13 win, which signifies a
lot of quality, even though half of their games have been played against
dreadful opponents, with Florida Atlantic, North Carolina, Louisiana Tech, and
Temple all playing the pavement to Clemson's steamroller. But while Clemson has been a juggernaut, Virginia Tech is their equal
defensively. Virginia Tech has held 6 of 7 opponents to 280 yards or
less and like Clemson, permit only 13 points per game. This line is less
than a TD because of the Hokies fine defense and their dangerous special teams
play. It only takes a single return for a TD to give the Hokies a
significant edge in front of their wild home crowd in this one. While suckers are laying -110 on this contest, Sportsbook Sharks are laying
as little as -101. While lines change frequently, Sharks who play at
Pinnacle Sportsbook could have bet this game at Virginia Tech at +4 (+100)
while Clemson was -4 (-105) at
Cascade Sportsbook. Those two lines are the equivalent of having the
option to play at -102½ to win 100 odds. Earlier in the week -3½
(-105) was available on one side while +3½ (+103) was the number at the other.
In that instance playing Pinnacle and Cascade and comparing lines offered a
wagering option the equivalent of -101 pricing. These kind of differentials exist up and down the board at these two books
and you'll find yourself having -101, -102, and -103 options in most games.
To give yourself the best chance to win, take advantage of the convenient
wagering options at
Pinnacle Sportsbook and
Cascade Sportsbook today.
