The Minnesota Twins continue to find ways to get it done, as evident by winning 14 of their last 17 overall. They will look to win yet another series this afternoon, and we'll play on them to do so.
The Twinkies will send Nick Blackburn to the mound as he looks to rebound after a rough outing. Good thing is he has done so before, rebounding from his last outing of giving up 4 or more earned runs, with a solid outing in the next. He will not face a Tigers team at full strength as both Magglio Ordonez and Miguel Cabrera are not expected to play. Blackburn has been strong at home going 4-2 with a 3.08 ERA in eight starts with his team winning six of those.
Young Eddie Bonine will make his first American League start as his first three starts came in interleague play. He was strong in those outings going 2-0 with a 3.98 ERA, but he faced lineups from the Padres, Rockies and Dodgers, none of which are in the top ten in offense. The Twins will be a step up in class as they bring a dangerous offense to the plate. The Twins are 4th in the majors in batting avg, and are hitting .292 against right handers at home this season. We expect Bonine to struggle some and recently his team has failed in this role. They are 2-12 in their last 14 games as a road pup. The boys from Detroit are just 2-6 in the last 8 meetings between the two.Play on the Minnesota Twins for 1 unit.Good luck to all.

The Tampa Bay Rays will look to sweep the Red Sox in Tampa for the second time this season and will have a pretty good chance of doing so with their ace on the mound. Scott Kazmir of the Rays will take the hill to battle Dice-K Matsuzaka of the Red Sox in the final game of their three game set tonight on ESPN.
Dice-K on the mound is perhaps the only reason for the line movement. I cannot think of any other reason. And even with him toeing the slab tonight, I don't think it's warranted. To think that the Red Sox won't or can't get swept just will not hold up. The Red Sox were swept in their last trip to Tampa, and that was without having to face tonight's starter Scott Kazmir. Kazmir has been dominant at times this season, especially at home. He is 4-1 at home on the season with a 1.24 ERA. The Rays are 5-1 in his home starts this season. This will be his first start at home against the Red Sox this season. He has not had a quality start in his last three outings, but I think we can expect him to have a solid performance on the big stage tonight.
Dice-K will be making his third start since returning from the DL. His last outing was more reminiscent of his usual self. In five innings pitched he allowed just two hits and no earned runs in a 6-1 Red Sox win at Houston. His last two trips to Tampa have been ones to forget however. In fact he is 0-3 with a 5.40 ERA in his last four starts against the Rays overall. The Red Sox are just 3-9 in their last 12 road games as a pup. They are just 1-11 in their last 12 games on field turf. The Sox have struggled all season with top tier teams going just 16-19 against teams with winning records. Manny is struggling, Big Papi is out, and the Yanks are next. While the Rays are playing every game like it's their last.Play on the Tampa Bay Rays for 1 unit.Good luck to all.

| Play: Money Line: 105 Chicago White Sox |

The Cleveland Indians squandered away a chance at a win last night Instead they are trying to avoid getting swept tonight.
The Indians closer Joe Borowski blew a save opportunity last night in the ninth as the Indians lost 3-2 dropping their fourth game in a row and eighth in the last nine meetings with the Pale Hose. C.C. Sabbathia will try to put the trade talk aside a put the Indians back in the win column when he takes the hill tonight. Sabbathia has been solid in his last three outings since struggling to start the season. He is 2-0 in his last three with a 1.57 ERA, primarily the reason for the Indians being tagged with the chalk. Those two wins came in interleague play against inferior offenses however and tonight he will be tested. C.C. is just 1-4 on the road this season, with his team going 2-4 in those starts.
Jose Contreras will take the hill for the Pale Hose off a solid outing after a rough stretch. This will be his second start against the Indians. He held them to 4 hits and one earned run in six innings pitched of a 4-1 White Sox win back in May. We like our chances with him toeing the slab tonight and the White Sox finding ways to win. Play on the Chicago White Sox for 1 unit.Good luck to all.

Last night's win by the Washington Nationals was just the second in eleven games between these two division rivals. The Nats have won four of their last six games and will try to steal the series this afternoon.
We'll play on them to do so as Odalis Perez will make his second start since returning from the DL and his third against the Marlins. He was solid in his last start allowing 3 hits and 0 earned runs in only 4 innings pitched. He won't be limited to 75 pitches this afternoon, and should pitch well. In 11 2/3 innings pithced this year against the Marlins, Perez has only allowed two earned runs and three walks while striking out 13.
Ricky Nolasco is usually on the other side of the heavy chalk. He has pitched well this year going 8-4 with a 4.05 ERA. But the highest chalk attached to him was in his last outing against the D-Backs going off at -124. This afternoon however seems like a stretch at -160 for a pitcher whose ERA is 4.05. The Marlins are just 1-4 in his last 5 home starts against a team with a losing record. The Nationals are in good position with a day after a night game to catch the Marlins sleepwalking.Play on the Washington Nationals for 1 unit.Good luck to all.

NBA Betting: Game 5 Eastern Conference Finals Preview |

May 28, 2008 |
Home court advantage was a considerable edge for the Boston Celtics in the first two rounds, as they advanced without winning a road game. But what was so golden was snatched from them in game 2 by the Pistons. The Celtics responded by winning game 3, only to squander an opportunity to take control of the series in game 4.
So what can we expect in game 5? With the series tied 2-2, I th ...

| Terron Chapman Rating System |
| All plays are given a rating of 1* to 5*. A 1* play recommends a play of 1 unit or 1% of your wagering bankroll and so on and so forth. A 5* play is indeed the strongest of all plays, but shall never exceed 5% of your wagering bankroll. |

| Terron Chapman Money Management |
| Money management and discipline are two keys to winning that do not get enough discussion. To win in the long term one must always practice sound money management and that starts with not wagering what you can't afford to lose. I cannot stress this enough, only wager what you can afford to lose. Set aside a specific amount and bet according to the size of your bankroll. For instance if you have a bankroll of let's say $5,000, your minimum amount wagered should be $50 or 1% of your bankroll and your maximum amount wagered should never exceed $250 or 5% of your bankroll. |
